Solty Rei, Episodes 1-3

Thursday, March 4th @ 4:30pm

Roy Revant is living the hard life of a bounty hunter in a broken city; a city where thousands have died in a mysterious event called the Blast Fall. Those who survived share the sting of loss. Countless Resembles - people whose mangled bodies have been rebuilt with high-tech prosthetic devices – walk the streets. Yet there are those that even science cannot mend.

Roy needs a miracle to escape his rut... and one night she falls from the sky – a girl named Solty. Like countless others, Solty is a Resemble but one unlike any the world has ever known. A young girl without a past, soon she will have a family. But in this world, pain and alienation are never too far away.

Suzuka, Episodes 4-5

Thursday, March 18th @ 4:30pm

Country-boy Yamato travels to Tokyo, moving in with his aunt and cousin while attending high school.  One day, he chances upon a girl at his school and is immediately mesmerized by her beauty.  He is shocked when he realizes later that the girl, Suzuka, is his next door neighbor. From then on, Yamato's ordinary life begins to change little by little.

Movie Mocking Mondays

Enjoy an afternoon of comedy as we take movies and make them funny!  Don't repress yourself--express yourself!  Let loose with the wise-cracks.

Some materials provided by Rifftrax.com.

Transformers (with Rifftrax commentary)

Monday, March 8th @ 5:00pm

The toys you got free in your happy meal explode across the screen as the loosening of FCC regulations on marketing directly to children is now a major motion picture! And the now grown-up targets of that marketing once again obeyed their overlords, turning Transformers into the loudest hit of the year!

Shia LeBeouf (from the German meaning “diffident steak”) stars alongside Megan Fox, who certainly lives up to her name (she looks like a Megan!) Optimus Prime (which the Fed just raised by a quarter point) battles the evil Decepticons led by the eviler Megatron for control of the Allspark, which is possibly the silliest thing ever conceived by man.

Vampire Game: Fun Out Of the Sun

Monday, March 15th & Tuesday, March 16th @ 4:00pm

Are you a vampire fiction fan who wants to tell your own stories?  Are you a gamer looking for a new challenge?  Or are you just looking looking for something fun to do this Spring Break?  If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then join us for some Fun Out Of The Sun as Game Master Matt introduces you to the world of Storytelling Games.

We’ll be playing a vampire-themed game, sure to appeal to fans of both classical vampires like Dracula and more modern Young Adult works such as Vampire Diaries, House of Night, The Morganville Vampires and Twilight.

Two sessions will be held at 4:00 PM on March 15th and March 16th.  There is a limit of 6 players per session.  Please contact Matt at mmorrison@burlesonlibrary.com or (817) 426-9205 to reserve your space.  Spectators between the ages of 12-18 are welcome, if you’d like to watch but don’t want to play.
